Ali Mehmet Güneş (born 23 November 1978) is a Turkish international footballer. Güneş is currently unattached, having last played for Bucaspor in the Süper Lig.[1]

Güneş started his career in Germany with SC Freiburg in 1997, in 2001 he was signed by Turkish club Fenerbahçe S.K. and stayed there until 2004.[2] The strong defender was then signed on by rivals Beşiktaş J.K., he returned to his first club SC Freiburg in 2007[3] and was released on 15 June 2009.[4] On 13 July 2009, he signed with Kasımpaşa.[5]
Güneş has one cap for Turkey.[1]
